Ilka Zeiner-Szentkiralyi, founder of indivHR, talks about current trends in IT recruiting, the demand for IT talent and the most sought-after jobs in the industry.

Demand for IT talent

Presenter: Ms. Zeiner-Szentkiralyi, thank you for taking the time for this interview. The IT industry is in a constant state of flux. Could you start by giving us an overview of which IT jobs are currently in particularly high demand?

Ilka Zeiner-Szentkiralyi: Gladly, it's a pleasure to be here. In fact, in the IT industry, we are seeing an ever-increasing demand for professionals who are skilled in various technological areas. At the top of the list right now are experts in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Companies are increasingly relying on automated processes and data-driven decisions, which is why AI and ML specialists are in demand to develop algorithms that can recognize patterns in large data sets.

Presenter: That sounds exciting. Could you give us a real-life example to illustrate this demand for IT talent?

Ilka Zeiner-Szentkiralyi: Naturally. A large retailer we recently supported was looking for an AI expert to develop a personalized recommendation system for their online platform. The expert not only needed to demonstrate technical knowledge in AI and ML, but also be able to understand the company's business goals and adapt the algorithms accordingly.

Presenter: That shows how important the link between technology and business strategy is. Are there other areas where the demand for IT talent is particularly high?

Ilka Zeiner-Szentkiralyi: Absolutely. Another area that is growing strongly is cybersecurity. With cyber threats on the rise, companies are increasingly looking for specialists who can protect their systems and data from attacks. One example is a bank that was looking for an experienced cybersecurity expert to keep its customer and financial data safe.

Presenter: The topic of security is undoubtedly of great importance. Are there other areas that are particularly in demand in the IT industry at the moment?

Ilka Zeiner-Szentkiralyi: Yes, definitely. Cloud technology has become a central element of many companies, and therefore the demand for cloud architects and DevOps experts is increasing. An example is one of our customers, a software company that wants to migrate its applications to the cloud for scalability and flexibility.

Presenter: These are really diverse areas. Given this demand for IT talent, what challenges do you see in IT recruiting?

Ilka Zeiner-Szentkiralyi: One of the biggest challenges is identifying and attracting the right talent. Competition in the IT industry is intense, and qualified professionals are often spoiled for choice. It's not just about technical skills, but also about cultural fit and the candidate's ability to develop in a dynamic environment.

Presenter: How do you deal with these challenges at indivHR?

Ilka Zeiner-Szentkiralyi: We focus on a customized approach. Every company has its own requirements and culture. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and find suitable candidates. In doing so, we leverage our extensive network, AI and many years of expertise in IT recruiting.

Presenter: That sounds like an effective approach. Finally, could you share some interesting statistics or facts about the current situation on the IT job market?

Ilka Zeiner-Szentkiralyi: Gladly. According to a study by LinkedIn, demand for IT professionals increased by 45% last year. At the same time, 72% of the companies surveyed had difficulty filling open IT positions, which highlights the intensity of competition in the market.
